AUSTRALIAN EDUCATIONAL DOCUMENTS
Australian educational documents are not public documents and cannot be apostilled or otherwise legalised in their own right.
Original Australian educational documents may include...
- University | Tertiary Degrees, Certificates & Transcripts
- TAFE | Trade Certificates & Transcripts
- Higher School | Matriculation Certificates
- Secondary School Term or Semester Reports and | or Principals’ Statements
An original Australian educational document must first be certified by an "authorised officer" whose signature is registered with DFAT (e.g. an officer of the relevant Department of Education), before an Apostille Certificate may issue in respect of that document.
A Notary Public is authorised by law to certify copies of Australian educational documents, and Apostille Certificates issued in respect of notarised copies are internationally accepted.
An apostilled or legalised notarised copy of an educational document prevents your original from being defaced and ensures it remains in your control and possession.
We accept payment for our professional services by money order, bank cheque, personal cheque, internet banking, or by major credit card. Click here for Payment Options.
Postage or courier expenses are additional, and, within Australia, a self addressed, pre-paid Express Post envelope should be included in your parcel or envelope with delivery of your document. If ordering from outside Australia, a Courier charge of $75.00 should be added to the applicable Service Charge.
To assist preserve the quality of your original document, such as a University Degree or Trade Diploma, it is recommended that a cylinder or tube be used when delivering your document to us, whether by Express Post or International Courier.
Personal delivery or drop off of your original document to our office is welcome (by appointment only).

How To Instruct Us
Please read carefully... you have two options: Online Order Form or PDF Order Form.
- First click here... The Hague Convention to check whether you require an Apostille Certificate, or legalisation by an Embassy or Consulate of your original Australian public document
- Ensure that your document is a valid, properly signed, witnessed and sealed, original Australian public document, signed or sealed by an Australian public official
- Complete and submit appropriate online Order Form making sure you select the correct Payment Options
- After submitting your online Order Form to us, download the completed copy Order Form
- After checking its details, sign and enclose it with your original Australian public document that you wish to have apostilled
- Alternatively, we invite you to attend our office at Waverley on appointment to order your Apostille Certificate or other service
- Alternatively, download and complete editable PDF Order Form and include with your delivery or attendance
- We also provide notary services if your document needs to be witnessed by a Notary Public
- Your signature to an international document can only be witnessed by an Australian Public Notary
